The Landings program offers a welcoming, safe place for inactive Catholics ("returnees") to explore returning to the practice of their faith, in the company of practicing Catholics ("welcomers"), some of whom also have been away and returned. Landings provides a unique opportunity to share your own story, hear other's spiritual journeys, and talk about issues of faith in an open, respectful, nonjudgmental manner. It models a small parish faith community that is inclusive, supportive, and recognizes honestly the issues Catholics face.
LANDINGS specifically offers:
WHILE LANDINGS IS NOT:
The "saved" welcoming the "sinners".
People in solidarity with the returning;
This video, produced by Landings International, might give you a sense for people's experiences of Landings:
Landings sessions are held twice a year, usually in late September and in late January.
This 10-week, one night a week, structured session can be a rewarding experience for those who wish to make meaningful connections with others in our parish. Put together names and stories with the faces you see at Mass, and discover what participation in Landings does for your relationship to God, St. Dominic's and your deeper faith life.
