Yosemite trip

Welcome to the St. Dominic's Young Adults! As a community of Catholic adults in their 20s and 30s, we strive to bring single and married young adults together to grow in faith and friendship through a variety of educational, spiritual, social and service events. We've been around since 1989 and currently have over 300 active participants in our community. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us at youngadults@stdominics.org.

Education and Spirituality

"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them" -- Matthew 18:20

The core activity for the Young Adults is our weekly Wednesday night meeting held at 7:30 in the Parish Hall (unless otherwise noted on the calendar). Meetings primarily are educational in nature and meant to help young adults better understand some aspect of the Catholic faith. We draw speakers from within the young adult community and the parish, as well as bring in outside speakers. Recent topics have included dating and relationships and how science can help grow one's faith. All are welcome, and if you are attending your first meeting, let the greeters know so they can get to know you and introduce you to others!

The last Wednesday evening of each month is normally reserved for a special Young Adults Mass, thouch you should always check the calendar for scheduled events. Many of us also attend Mass on Sundays at 5:30 pm. Afterwards, we normally mingle inside at the front of the church to the left of the lecturn. If you are new to St. Dominic's, please find us and introduce yourself!

Prayer

For those who want to grow their prayer life, join us when we pray the Rosary; every Wednesday as well, beginning at 7:00 pm in the Friar's Chapel behind the main altar. Rosary beads and instructions are provided at a small table. We usually take turns in praying each decade of the rosary, but if you are new to it, just come with your heart open and follow the instructions provided. Social Events

We plan a variety of social events and activities that offer opportunities for fun and fellowship throughout the year. Social activities include happy hours, wine and cheese socials, our annual Yosemite camping trip, ice cream socials, monthly dinners following the Sunday 5:30 p.m. Mass, dances, bowling and more.
