Join us as a Parishioner!
Parishioners are registered members who either live within the parish boundaries or have registered based on their regular attendance at Sunday Mass and regular participation in the life of the parish. They choose to make St. Dominic's their primary spiritual home. Parishioners have privilege to the full sacramental ministry of the parish, including funeral or memorial services, inurnment at The Columbarium (after being registered at least one year), Marriage at St. Dominic's (after one year), or having their children receive the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, First Communion, and Confirmation). They are remembered in the daily prayers for the people (pro populo) and the benefactors of the church. Parishioners have the opportunity to participate in lay leadership positions and many ministry opportunities, and are asked to support the church financially.
Frequent visitors can also join as Associate Parishioners with special privileges
Many people come to St. Dominic's regularly or join us by live stream from afar. They come to St. Dominic's with their families at Christmas, Palm Sunday and Easter for example, and occasionally to a favorite Mass. More often than not, they also participate in their own local parish, but would like to be associated with the St. Dominic's community. So we have an Associate member status with certain rights. Associates have the right to funeral or memorial services at St. Dominic's, and, with the written permission of their own pastor, to be married or to have their children baptized here. They are remembered in the daily prayers for our benefactors. Associates frequently commit some level of ongoing financial support to St. Dominic's.
